Like a prairie dog

Before turning in for the night, just wanted to pop-up and draw your attention to a wonderful, brief interview with Maurice Sendak in the NYTimes.

As the playwright Tony Kushner, one of his collaborators, said, “He’s one of the most important, if not the most important, writers and artists ever to work in children’s literature. In fact, he’s a significant writer and artist in literature. Period.”

Mr. Sendak protested, “But Tony is my friend.”

Makes me want to visit the Rosenbach in Philly again.

Auds -- it's always good to hear about the cool stuff going on with you and Curt.

Just sort of stumbled on the article and thought it was thoughtful and well-written. A perfect read. Glad you enjoyed it, too.
